[Lelon died 4/15/1898; Mabel lost little time in remarrying. Her new husband was M. Allen Cook, Jr. There is a one year discrepancy in his age reported here compared to the 1885 Jefferson Co. census, but this is almost certainly the same person. He had previously (1888) married Lucy Marie Wagner, the daughter of Lelon's sister Almeda. Thus, Mabel was Lucy Marie's aunt (in-law).]
