The 3201 W. Platte Caper

Kith and Bill purchased 3201 W. Platte on June 1, 1963, from Max Taylor, a contractor who had built

the house for themselves. (The Taylor's son, Max, a physics major at Colorado College, happened

to have been a student of Bill's in the Mathematics Department...)

(The lot - 120' x 150' - is 2/5ths of an acre.)

We planned to share the house with Kith's mother, Doris Ogden, so the first step was to do some extensive remodeling of the lower level, which the Taylor's had used as a garage and a work area for Max, senior.  This work was done by Kyle Gateley and Arby Briggs.

Helen "Winkie" Andrew, Doris's sister, stayed for awhile with Doris but then moved to another place in Colorado Springs where she died in 1992.

Following Doris's death in 1997, her daughter Helen moved in and has remained there since.
