We were married on November 30, 1946, in Alma, Colorado, where many of the Gateley family had lived had lived since the late 1920s. At this time only Bill's father and Aunt Mary lived there, but there were a number of other Gateley relatives in Colorado who attended the ceremony. Their major regret -- at least later -- was that Bill's grandparents, with whom he had lived with for several years in Colorado Springs were not there -- We're sure they thought the marriage was about time...
