announce the engagement of their daughter, June Betty, to Robert F.
Ogden, son of Dr. and Mrs. Tarrence F. Ogden, 801 Plymouth Ave. No date
has been set for the wedding
Miss Jensen is with the plant accounting department of the New York Telephone company in Albany. Mr. Ogden is in the Business Training Course of the General Electric Company. |

In
a candlelight setting of white chrysanthemums and wedding. green foliage
Miss June Betty Jensen, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Walter Carl Jensen, 8 Graylon Pl., Albany., this afternoon
became the bride of Robert Foster Ogden, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Tarrence
F. Ogden, 801 Plymouth Ave.
The bridegroom's father performed the ceremony which took place
at 2:30 in Trinity Methodist church.
Robert Campbell presided at the organ and
Arthur Snyder sang “At Dawning,” “I
Love Thee” and “0 Perfect Love.” The pews of the church were marked
with bows and streamers of white satin.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a
gown of ivory satin fashioned with a fitted bodice outlined in lace, long
tapered sleeves ending at the wrists with lace ruffles, and a full skirt
ending in a chapel train. Her full length heirloom veil of Brussels lace
was. arranged cap fashion and she carried an arm bouquet of white
chrysanthemums
and pompons.
Mrs.
Robert Payne attended her sister as matron of honor in a gown of concerto
green velvet. She wore a coronet of pompons and carried a bouquet of
matching flowers.
The
bridegroom’s sister, Mrs. David Richards, Lincoln, Neb., was the other
attendant in a gown of sonata red velvet. She also wore a coronet of
pompons and carried a bouquet of matching flowers.
William
Grinnell of Delmar was best man. Malcolm Hopkins and Bruce Lyon, both of
Delmar, Pierre and Robert M. Baker ushered.
The bride’s mother wore a floor length gown
of midnight blue crepe with grey accessories and a corsage of pink
cymbidium orchids.
The bridegroom's mother choose a gown of beige
crepe with brown accessories. Her corsage was of yellow cymbidium orchids
A reception of 250 guests followed the
ceremony in Fellowship hall of the church.
Following the reception, the couple will leave
on a motor trip to Virginia. For traveling, Mrs. Ogden has chosen a black
wool dress with a white plaid jacket and black velvet accessories. She
will wear a corsage of white cymbidium orchids
A graduate of Bethlehem Central high school in
Delmar, Mrs. Ogden attended Rochester Genera1 Hospital School of Nursing.
She is now employed by the New York Te1ephone company in Albany in the
plant accounting division. Also a graduate of Bethlehem, Mr. Ogden is a graduate of DePauw university, Greencastle, Ind., where he ‘was a member of Sigma Chi national social fraternity. He is employed by the General Electric Company where he is a member of the business training course. |
