Many at Salazar's meeting appeared to find his presentation persuasive.

Among them, 73-year-old Polly Ogden said other national issues should be more pressing, such as health care.  Ogden said Bush's plan to allow personal investment accounts would weaken the system.  "It's making a crisis situation out of it, and I think in the immediate run, it's a fiscal disaster".
