A Bill Gateley note: Cindy and I--we are second cousins--got together after I discovered her name on the cover of Almeda Peabody Wagner's memoirs at the St. Lawrence County Historical Society in Canton, New York, which I visited in the summer of 1994 during a trip I took from Oakdene to Pitcairn in St. Lawrence County where Benjamin Peabody had lived for some time before moving on to Michigan. We have since shared a great deal of Peabody information and have had a number of get-togethers and Peabody explorations when she has visited Colorado. |
