                    In 1749, his was one of twelve English families in Stockbridge.

                           Served in the sloop Anne, bound for the relief of New York in August, 1776.

                           He removed to Trenton NJ.

Stonington, New London Co., CT, (daughter of Joseph PEABODY and Sarah TAYLOR) d. 5 Jan 1893.  John died 4 Feb 1859, Millgrove, OH.

                                        There is no Millgrove in Ohio in 1998; there is one in Indiana. ???
