We've had some pretty good snow storms the last few days. Right now there's about 2 1/2 to 3 feet. And it's probably not done!

2005: Gateley Reunion
Almost the entire Gateley clan showed up at Oakdene in July. We haven't all been together since Kith and Bill's 50th wedding anniversary.
Those present included:
- Kith and Bill
- Ned and Judi (sans Alex & Zach)
- Kithie (sans Judy)
- Chris and Sue
- Kyle, Pam, Chelsea, Jordon
- Brian and Callie
- Toby
We overlapped one day with Polly, friend Jay, and the Spital-Mike's. Wendy and Polly had a fabulous turkey dinner waiting when Kith, Bill, and Kithie arrived.

2011: Kahra, Horse Whisperer
Click here to view video of Kahra and her horse Areyto
Kahra (Neetie's daughter) did all the training of her horse Areyto pictured on the youtube. The Oakdene love of horses has been passed on. She is a natural "horse whisperer". This horse loves her, if horses can love. He "cries" when she leaves him, and just generally lives to do her bidding. I am reminded of the story Granddaddy Andrew tells of getting caught between an oncoming train in his horse and buggy. He turned the horse and rig parallel to the tracks, and the horse trembled but stood absolutely still until the train had passed, trusting his master.

Spring 2005: Kim & Heidi take on Manhattan!
Late April 2005, Heidi and Kim Hoelting traveled to Manhattan, to visit Camille and Aaron in their new environs. Central Park was awash in green. Some of the trip highlights included attending Turandot at the Metropolitan Opera, visiting Harlem, numerous trips to the American Museum, a day trip out to Weir Farm and Mystic, CT, and exploring the neighborhood around Columbia University.
